Partendo dall’analisi della malattia di Alzheimer e delle sue fasi si è deciso di realizzare un dispositivo utile soprattutto nella seconda fase, poiché la più duratura.
Approfondendo poi le necessità del paziente, ma ancor di più quelle del familiare, si è arrivati alla conclusione che sarebbe stato più opportuna la progettazione di un sistema capace di soddisfare tutte le necessità osservate. Questo, è capace di localizzare il paziente via GPS e di riconoscere le emozioni che prova grazie ai cambiamenti fisiologici determinati da queste.
Inoltre, deve trasmettere tutti i dati ad un sistema online che li renda comprensibili ed accessibili a colui che si occupa del paziente (caregiver) in modo da:
_capire se si è perso e dunque localizzarlo ed intervenire;
_conoscerne lo stato psico-emotivo soprattutto se affidato a terzi;
_intervenire sull’umore del paziente nel momento più opportuno con farmaci o con i metodi alternativi di stimolazione sensoriale.
Infine, la chiusura non è apribile dal paziente utilizzando una sola mano e senza ulteriori elementi d’aiuto.

Starting from the analysis of Alzheimer’s disease and its phases, I decided to produce a device useful especially in the second stage, because it is the longest.
Deepening my understanding of the patient's needs, but even more those of his/her family, I came to the conclusion that it would have been more appropriate to design a system capable of satisfying all the needs observed.
Link is able to localize the patient via GPS and to recognise his/her emotions by analysing the physiological changes related to them.
It must also transmit all data to an online system that makes them understandable and accessible to the person who takes care of the patient (caregiver) in order to:
_ understand if the patient is lost, and then locate and assist him/her;
_ know the psycho-emotional state especially if entrusted to a third party;
_ to act depending on the mood of the patient at the right time with drugs or alternative methods like the sensory stimulation.
Finally, the fastening of the wristband can’t be opened by the patient using only one hand and without further aid elements.
